Gossip Girl season 2 premiere - Summer Kind of Wonderful

I have to say that I absolutely LOVED the season 2 premiere of Gossip Girl! My husband watched it with me and I swear the man is hooked. It got kind of tiresome having to constantly fill him in on the characters and stuff but I do believe a new Gossip Girl fan was born tonight.
On to the recap…
The show starts out with Nate making out with some blonde woman in a car. Turns out it’s the much older (and married) Catherine Mason. Catherine suggests they head to her house to finish up since hubs is away until next week.
Chuck is holding court at the beach with 3 half naked brunettes while Serena is sitting all alone. The lifeguard on duty can’t take his eyes off her and decided to make his move and ask her out.
Dan, in the meantime, is now serving his internship with his literary idol and failing miserably. He is suffering from writers block and he is now a big teenage lothario.
Jenny is working as an intern for Eleanor Waldorf and is suffering the wrath of Laurel while Eleanor is away. Jenny designs a dress for Laurel to wear to the big White Party in the Hamptons but Laurel is anything but interesting in wearing a dress designed by an inexperienced intern.
Blair shows up in the Hamptons with her little boring little boy toy who she’s using just to make Chuck jealous. Boy Toy turns out to be a British Lord named Marcus Beaton. Boy Toy is not so boring anymore.
Thanks to Serena’s grandmother Dan shows up at The White Party only to catch Serena making out with Nate. Of course, they are just trying to make Nate’s Cougar jealous and it works. Cougar and Nate sneak off for a quickie in a back bedroom. Dan tries to make Serena feel like crap about the kiss with Nate and doesn’t believe her but then 2 chicks he dated at the same time during the summer show up and confront him. Serena laughs and she and Dan end up meeting on the beach. It appears they are back together but I’m sure it won’t last for long.
Chuck tries to get Blair to come back to him but he won’t say those 8 letters and she goes back to Lord Marcus.
