October 19, 2008 Well, according to The Ausiello Files one of these 5 people will bite the dust.
Spotted: A body bag on the Upper East Side.
You may have heard — a pivotal Gossip Girl character will soon be laid to rest, setting off a series of aftershocks that will reverberate well into next year. By using both Met-step chatter and common sense, I narrowed the field of candidates to the following five characters — one of whom, a source confirms — is the victim.
Vanessa (Jessica Szohr)
Why She’ll Die: As much as I adore Szohr, let’s face it, her alter ego is easily the most expendable of Girl’s core clique. As a bonus, eliminating Vanessa would get Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar off producers’ backs.
Why She Won’t: Who’d steam everyone’s lattes?Bart (Robert John Burke)
Why He’ll Die: His death would be a massive story generator: Not only would it pit Lily and Chuck against each other in a battle over the millionaire’s estate, but it would add a new layer of angst to Ed Westwick’s brooding scion.
Why He Won’t: Come on — killing the old guy? Way too obvious.Nate (Chace Crawford)
Why He’ll Die: Rumor has it that Crawford recently made some noise about wanting a fatter paycheck. Killing off his character would nip a potential salary dispute in the bud.
Why He Won’t: He’s the prettiest one on the show, for chrissakes!Rufus (Matthew Settle)
Why He’ll Die: It would rid the world of Lincoln Hawk and Dan would be forced to grow a pair.
Why He Won’t: His unrequited romance with Lily is where Gossip’s true heart lies.Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg)
Why She’ll Die: Everyone loves a good, old-fashioned murder mystery.
Why She Won’t: For starters, she’s not currently on the show. Plus, producers would be foolish to permanently wipe out the Alexis to Serena’s Krystle.
All I have to say is that it better not be RUFUS HUMPHREY.

October 19, 2008 Britney Spears’s latest hit “Womanizer” will be featured in a brand new Gossip Girl promo that will focus on resident bad boy Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).
The promo spot will begin running on-air on The CW beginning Monday, October 20, as well as online at cwtv.com.

October 19, 2008 A couple of new characters emerge in this episode. We have Jenny’s new friend Agnes who I’m sure will get her into all kinds of trouble and Serena meets Aaron Rose. For you Gossip Girl book lovers I’m sure you will remember Aaron as being Blair’s step brother. Things are certainly heating up in GG Land!
Jenny becomes friends with Agnes (Willa Holland), a model who motivates her to live life on the edge and stand up for herself at work. Meanwhile, Serena also meets someone new, an artist named Aaron Rose (John Patrick Amedori), and the two of them click right away; and Blair tries to seduce Chuck but is surprised to find she’s facing an uphill battle.

Ausiello: Jessica Szohr let it slip to TVGuide.com that “there’s a funeral” coming up, and girlfriend wasn’t kidding. My Gossip mole confirms that a major character will be whacked during November sweeps. My mole also confirms that the victim will be kinda-sorta ID’d in the new EW, on sale Friday.

October 16, 2008 Olympic all-round gymnastics champion Nastia Liukin has landed a guest role on popular TV teen drama “Gossip Girl,” describing it as one of her coolest thrills since winning five gold medals at the Beijing summer games.
Liukin, who turns 19 later this month and aspires to do some modeling and acting, said she was not sure if her role on the show would go beyond the one episode.
The “Gossip Girl” gig came totally by chance when she and some friends were chatting about the show, which depicts the lives of rich young teens in New York City.
“I was in Los Angeles having dinner with a bunch of my friends and the producers of ‘Gossip Girl’ were sitting at the table next to me,” Liukin told reporters before being named Sportswoman of the Year by the Women’s Sports Foundation on Tuesday.
“So they sent over a note saying ‘Congratulations. Keep watching “Gossip Girl’. Then the next day they contacted my management and the next thing I know I have a guest role on ‘Gossip Girl.’
“I’m gonna get to film ‘Gossip Girl’ next time I’m here on October 21.”
“I was going to play myself and then they thought it would be cool to give me a character,” she said. “A bunch of my friends always watch, so to actually be on it, it’s really cool.”
“Gossip Girl”, currently in its second season, is one of the most talked about shows on the fledgling CW network in the United States and is also watched in 30 nations in Europe, Asia and South America.
Liukin has been on a whirlwind schedule since the Olympics, performing in a U.S. gymnastics tour and designing a fashion line called ‘Nastia Gold.’

October 15, 2008 Who is going to die on Gossip Girl? Good question! Jessica Szohr spilled the beans to TV Guide about a funeral in an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl. Of course, she realized she opened her big mouth and didn’t say anything else.
Who do you think is going to die on Gossip Girl?
A death to come on Gossip Girl? OMG — say it ain’t so!
While attending Mohegan Sun’s Wind Casino celeb-filled grand opening this past weekend, we bumped into Jessica Szohr on the red carpet, and got some shocking scoopage on what’s to come for Vanessa and the Gossip gang.
“There’s a lot going on,” said Szohr. “There’s a love triangle between Vanessa, Nate and Jenny, there’s a funeral….” Catching herself before she said too much, she then added, “That’s all I can say. We can’t talk about it!”
Though Szohr was mum on who kicks the bucket, she did hint that as far as Vanessa’s love life goes, “There’s some flirtation with Chuck Bass coming up — but I think she still misses someone else.”
Who do you think will be the one to die this season? We can’t imagine any of the main kids getting offed so soon in the series, but then again, anything can happen on television.
